Current classroom focus: We will finish CKLA Unit 2 Lesson 2 on Monday, then move into Lessons 3–5 during the week. In mathematics, we are working in Ready Math Lesson 9. Students will continue building reading comprehension, main idea and supporting details, vocabulary, decimal division, mathematical reasoning, and problem solving.
Chromebook, charger, notebook, pencil, highlighter, and an independent reading book.
The next scheduled two-hour-delay professional development day is Wednesday, October 14.
Review Canvas and PowerSchool, have your student read for 15–20 minutes, practice multiplication facts, and use Cub Coach for guided help when needed.

My Learning gives each student a personalized Math and ELA pathway using the S-number and PIN on the student's login card. Canvas remains our digital classroom, and PowerSchool provides family access to grades, attendance, and missing work.

Powered off. Stored away. Inaccessible.
During the school day, student cell phones and personal wireless communication devices must be powered off, stored away, and inaccessible to students.
Important Dates
Keep the major 2026–2027 assessment windows close. The schedule includes ILEARN Checkpoints, IREAD, ILEARN Summative, Social Studies, and WIDA ACCESS.

My Educational Journey
I entered education after more than 20 years in business, operations, sales, recruiting, and team leadership. That experience continues to shape how I build relationships, set expectations, solve problems, and prepare students for the future.
Four years teaching middle school, including Project Lead The Way and design and engineering.
Served in student support roles as Dean of Students, intervention teacher, mentor, and Academic Coach.
Leadership experience in transportation, school systems, team development, and daily operations.
Bachelor's degree from Bethel University and graduate study through Bethel's Transition to Teaching to MAT pathway.
